Self-initiated project
I developed SALIN as a visual interpretation of photocopy culture: service words, repeated impressions, binding coils and the edges of ordinary paper. The project moves between Indonesian service language and English editorial captions.

I wanted to find a contemporary visual language in everyday working materials without borrowing familiar heritage motifs. The central challenge was to make imperfection intentional while preserving clear words and a disciplined page structure.
Every copy leaves a trace. I used successive impressions as the organizing idea: repetition preserves the message while changing its edge. The same logic connects a poster, a small publication, an accordion foldout and a proposed print room.
